Maybe I'm being selfish, but isn't the whole idea behind college to make something of yourself? Get a good job? An education? Okay. I thought so, too.
I have all those things. I even have more to offer than that, but I can't seem to land that so called "good job."
I am employed, and have four jobs. Yep, count 'em. F-O-U-R. So I am grateful that I have an income, but I'm not using my education. It's sad. I really get discouraged coming to my 40 hour week job, because although it is a company that is in my field...I'm not doing anything in my field. Wait, scratch that. I'm not doing anything. I'm the receptionist. I am at work right now, blogging.
College grads have it harder than ever. It took me six months of searching to land this job. We are told to keep our heads up, better times are coming. But are they? Or will we be left by the wayside without any experience?
